Informationen about the Programme

The programme in Geomatic Engineering and Planning provides solid training in mathematics and the natural and engineering sciences with fundamental knowledge of geodetic metrology, information technology and geographic information systems (GIS). Courses in law and economics prepare students for tasks in several different environments.

The completion of this programme offers its graduates access to demanding and diverse fields and outstanding professional entry opportunities, for example in project offices, companies and agencies specialising in Geomatic Engineering and Planning as well as in public administration and in research institutes in Switzerland and abroad.

The programme in Geomatic Engineering and Planning is offered by the ETH Zurich Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering (D-BAUG), together with programmes in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering and the Master’s degree programme in Spatial Development and Infrastructure Systems.
